Another ECI Inc. collaboration is successfully launched to the International Space Station.

As part of the development team, ECI performed a Pre-Phase A study for the Ring Shear Drop (RSD) experiment flight hardware design. Our design team created a CAD concept and conducted basic electrical, thermal, material, operational and safety evaluations.

The scientific inquiries, which were funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, are the results of the combined efforts of researchers from Arizona State University and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

This research effort will be directed at creating models for predicting and understanding the hydrodynamics that cause proteins to aggregate, and hopefully allowing the mitigation of these forces to improve the development and manufacture of proteins used as the basis of many drugs.
